Kaltenbach is the location of the bottom station of the Ski Dorado Hochfügen-Hochzillertal, only 2 km from our house. Collectively called"the best connection", 155 km of perfectly prepared pistes are there for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy. Two 8-seat gondola lifts make morning waiting times a thing of the past. The mountain lodges "Kristallhütte" and "Wedelhütte" have been a holiday home to celebrity guests such as the Austrian and German presidents, and are two of the top ski lodges in the valley. In addition, the ski area boasts a number of other restaurants, cabins, and lodges. By the bottom station in Kaltenbach you will find many popular après ski bars and many service facilities.

Tourists' Kindergarten

In addition to the tourists' kindergarten in the top station of the Hochzillertal ski lift, there is now another kindergarten in the Hochfügen ski area, by the panorama restaurant, as well as one in the top station of the Spieljochbahn. (The kindergarten is not connected to ski lessons. These can be booked at the respective ski schools.)
